Dandy Don reported today that the LSU-Florida game could be played the 29th. That is the same date as GA-FL game, but both teams have open dates the week before, so the could play that game on the 22nd.
Unless they are ordered to play it by the SEC, they will not play this game especially after yesterday.
FL will fight tooth and nail not to play this game, especially if we get the hot hand. Bunch of pussies!
Well there is no love loss for Alleva either. I'm sure he has done his fair share of shady deals. We could have played the game though!
The October 29th option is better than the November 19th one. Not much better, but better all the same. Plus, it would be nice for the team not to obsess over the Alabama game for two straight weeks for a change. That has certainly not been healthy.
Totally different scenario. The two teams were on the field at game time, and rules dictating an active weather system halted the game. Not to mention it was a non-conference game with no bearing on either team's postseason hopes, which is why rescheduling was not vital.
Alleva agreeing to play on any date other than Dec 3rd if the SEC pushed back the SEC championship (maybe the 29th too) would be a travesty. There is no reason why we should agree to be in another bad situation. Sankey better be the one forcing us to play not us agreeing after busting our ass to make it work the right way the last time. Losing a home game would cost LSU millions in lost revenue and hurt local businesses. Agreeing to 3 road SEC games in 13 days would go against everything UF and Sankey proclaimed about player safety as well.
Even if they wanted to push the SECCG back a week they can't. The playoff selection committee announces the 4 playoff teams on the Sunday following all the Saturday conference championship games.
