I have to believe it will be an OC who runs a pro style offense.

We will just make do with what we can get out of Jefferson next season unless he somehow gets beat out by Mettzenberger.

With a new oc coming in, Jefferson and Mettzenberger are starting off on equal footing, especially with Mettzenberger being here in the spring.

I agree with most of what you say with the exception that "Ties to LSU/Miles/Louisiana or Staff member" should be the most important criteria. I could care less where they come from...all I care is that if they are successful they will stay.

The ties to LSU thing is the same mentality as the "Michigan Man" concept. It is overrated as a qualification and actually irrelevant. It might give local fans the warm fuzzies, but winning gives them greater satisfaction.

I'm not saying that it should be the number one factor, I'm just saying that I think is very important to Miles. He's shown to be a "people first" kind of guy, and so I think that it's going to be a very important factor. Plus, it's not like Miles is doing what Mack did which is try to mix-mash a completely new "All-Star" team, where folks are coming from all over. I think understanding Miles, his staff, and the animal at LSU is important.

For whatever reason, the link wasn't working for me. But, THIS guy gets me excited. Good, smart offensive mind, who has overachieved with TCU talent. A move to LSU would be a definite step up from a "co-offensive" position, and now is a vulnerable time for TCU going to the Big East, where nothing is guaranteed. The recruiting pull into Texas, esp North Texas, which feeds LSU well, can't be overestimated.

I like this guy maybe the most. Just didn't know if he had enough ties to the community or if he knew Miles that well.

:geaux: Would seem to be a pretty viable candidate. They sure had it goin' on at TCU this year. :LSU231:
