On the late night ESPN SC with SVP he had one of their commentators mention that OBJ said in an interview the best way to defend him is by getting in his head. I didn't catch OBJ's interview, and I can't remember the commentators name, but I thought his point was salient. Did OBJ give away his Achilles heel and Norman realized that? As mentioned in another thread, there's a host of reasons I don't follow the NFL. One of those is the comments/opinions heard from the booth. See Bob Costas and his "social lectures." Building on what I said to Bengal ... Kannell asked a good question yesterday. If Pac Man Jones can rip off the helmet of Cooper and not get suspended how do they justify ruling differently on OBJ? Yah, I know...expecting consistency from officiating is nothing more than a dream. The possibility of that coming true ranks up there with my dreams of Emilia Clarke sitting on my face for a few hours.
As I tell my 8th graders, and the on field shenanigans were quite familiar, "ELEVATE." I am sick of the NFL, its arbitrary rules, and worse, its arbitrary enforcement of its arbitrary rules, its incompetent officials, and all of it. OBTW, are there any games on this Saturday?
Had to look It up, so I looked it up. Da FUCK you make me look that up for? Serious turn of events here as I know your radar is strong. I simply do not wanna know.
No slight to OBJ, but I woulda got the Landry jersey all day over Beckham. OBJ was half of the dynamic duo at LSU, but Landry was money when he was targeted whereas Beckham was simply reliable. Compare the 2 now and how much of an impact they are to the 2 teams they play for and the results are the same. Take away a couple plays of the day and Landry far exceeds expectations at the pro level. Dude plays on a shit squad with a shit QB and still has 98 receptions. IMO, it is not even close.
Landry all day for me too. One seems like a gifted athlete who is basically turning into a primadonna, one is a dude who had to fight for everything he has. Landry is a better ball catcher, Beckham is faster with shifter moves. Beckham has a decent QB throwing him the Rock and has talent around him. Landry has Lamar Miller, that's it. Landry runs the ball, he throws the ball, he catches it, he returns punts and kickoffs too. He plays through injury also. I'll give Beckham that too he has played through some injuries this year. However if I need someone to make a catch, I'd much rather have Jarvis on my team.
What do y'all think of the bats story? Pointing bats at Beckham saying they were gonna beat the shit out of him? Doesn't excuse Beckham, but it certainly helped put him in the frame of mind that it was gonna be more than just a game.
