I truly believe if the liberals would win a supreme court battle that says that the second amendment was meant for the states national guard and not the private ownership of guns, they would ban every firearm in this country if they could get the votes. Nothing that a liberal says will ever change my mind.

The difference is "R" believes and maintains that "Democrats want to ban guns" is the platform of the Democratic party. He made this as a statement of fact. "Republicans kiss the asses of the rich" is an obvious metaphor for republicans voting with the rich instead of for middle class interests. Did you think I meant that they actually pucker up and kiss behinds?
Why do you believe this? For the sake or argument, lets say that every "liberal" in the country actually wants ban guns. They don't, most just want better gun control. But let's say that they do. There ain't enough liberals in the country to do that. 20% of the country are liberals. 35% are moderates and 42% are conservatives. It's not . . . gonna . . . happen. You indict yourself. :dis:
In certain cities handguns were illegal to posses. It took the supreme court to overturn the ban in Washington D.C. The regulations were a defacto ban in some areas.

My question still stands, "Do you really doubt that there are more Democrats that favor strict gun control as opposed to Republicans?
