if obama inherited a trillion dollar deficit then the next president is going to be inheriting a 5 trillion dollar deficit? bush's yearly budget deficits were only about haf of what obamas are. republicans control the house, democrats the senate so to say obama can't do anything is bullshit. even the democrats won't touch his budgets though and that's pretty bad in itself.

First, douche nozzle was a good one and it made me laugh pretty hard so I have to give you that.

Next, what else could Obama do? When you inherit a trillion dollar deficit and an economy hemorraging jobs at the rate of seven or eight hundred thousand jobs per month, drastically cutting spending would almost certainly have spiraled us into a depression. This is not a Republican or Democrat thing, this is a situation where there were bad choices and then there were worse choices; there was no beautiful silver bullet choice. If so, then I am sure both Bush and Obama would have done it. I will grant you that spending has increased under Obama but not by much, all things considered, and out of sheer necessity. I liken it to a person who has been drinking straight moon shine for forty years. If you take it away from them cold turkey they will die. The same is true of our economy over the past 30 years. We've (Republicans & Democrats) have been spending like drunk sailors, with the exception of the Clinton years, for the past 30 years and unfortunately we've passed the point where some belt tightening will not cut it.

Take Europe for example. Their plan since the onset of the financial crisis has been strict austerity and you see where it has gotten them. In spite of the problems in Europe and a weakening Chinese economy, ours has at least stabilized and began to claw it's way back. That said, Obama doesn't get the credit for all of that, most of it should go to the American workers and entrepreneurs who have had the testicles to keep moving forward in spite of economy. No one, including Obama, is advocating the continuation of this spending any longer than necessary. I am hopeful that we will reach an agreement on a debt reduction deal after the election and there have been some hints from both sides that they are closer to compromising on something large and comprehensive. So, there you go you pillow biter.

This is the most frequently used excuse for racism and it lacks the ambition for wanting something better.

everybody wants something better but until ALL races start wanting something better it will never get better. Racism has been going on since the dawn of time and will continue long after we're all gone.

nothing wrong with telling a country how you caught one of their most famous guests or that your using a cyber attack on them or that your gonna send in a hellicopter with 10 members of Seal Team 5 to get john daraghed doe at 2am on june 18th to drag him out of his bed at 375 islamabad lane and fly him out of the country I reckon. I mean what could possibly go wrong? just don't tell the world that you have a blond haired, blue eyed , 6'2" tall, 205 lb CIA operative living 2 doors down feeding you information. that would be just crazy right there.

Next, I agree that the recovery, however anemic, isn't going at the rate that any of us would like. I am a small business owner and I would give my left nut for business to be better and I could care less who gets the credit, Republicans or Democrats.

As far as the stimulus, extending the Bush tax cuts and adding 30,000 more troops in Afghanistan....if he had not done those things you would be bitching because we would be in a depression and you would be calling him a appeaser and a pacifier.

By the way, Obama really did inherit a trillion dollar deficit. This after Bush inherited four straight years of a budget surplus. These are facts and are undeniable. Tell me this please: When Bush inherited that budget surplus and went before the nation to argue that the country needed more tax cuts because we shouldn't be running a budget surplus when we still had an outstanding debt of 10 trillion dollars, where was everyone then? Where were the fiscal conservatives and deficit hawks then? Oh yes, that's right, they were voting for his tax cuts.[/quote]

do you think everyone should be paying more in taxes?
what would be the biggest incentive to bringing companies back to the US and increasing jobs?
if you could make a few changes to the budget, if we had one, what would you cut? increase?
who is better at spending money where it needs to go, politicians or taxpayers?

First, as president, I think Obama had every right to ensure people that through 2009, MOST of the debit was not tied to his name, however he has proven that spending lvls have gone up.

Now you can say x, y, and z are baked in, but guess what, you also added cream filling and icing to go along with it. However, MY point is that it is 2012 and you still point to BUSH, just shut the hell up and go to work.

WE all know Bush spent like a mad man. WE KNOW THIS!!! Why bring it up?

On the issue of cutting spending, it makes absolutely ZERO sense to raise taxes when:

A - the tax system is flawed and knowledge by out current president.

B - we refuse to balance the budget.

For the record, I think Clinton was far better than both Bush and Obama.
