for the 7th time, it is not required to buy car insurance, i dont have it. oops you posted that right before me.
i said i shouldnt be required to have health care insurance, i didnt say i dont have it. i said i dont have car insurance. please pay attention. if i didnt have health insurance i wouldnt ask anyone to pay for my care.
The government does not mandate that you buy auto liability insurance any more than the government makes you get a passport. If you want to travel overseas, you have to have one. If you don't want a passport then you can choose not to travel overseas. If you don't want to buy auto liability insurance then don't buy a car. It's your choice. Under this bill, if you don't want to buy health insurance you cannot say "well, I just won't use doctors and hospitals". You DON'T have a choice.
I was referring to the hypothetical "you" of your comment. I can't believe that you did not follow this.
I understand your position, SF. I was trying to get you to tell me what part of the Constitution has been violated, since you claimed that. And still you don't.
Section 8, Article 1. but we've already been over that. The US Constitution tells Government what they can do. If it doesn't give them the power they don't have it.
Yes, we've already been over it. Section 8 authorizes Congress to "regulate commerce" and to "make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper ". There is nothing in the Constitution about space exploration, air traffic control, social security, or levee building either. Congress makes new laws from time to time. It's their job.

It's really quite simple. It's exactly the opposite of what you say. If it is not specified in the constitution, the rights fall to the states and the individual - not to the fed. Your claims get weaker with each passing moment.
