I don't question his personal integrity. His political integrity is another matter and one that I have some experience with. I'm not saying that he's a crook, mind you, just that he's a politician and he comes with that baggage. Salazar is also a man of great personal integrity and I understood that you were not talking about that when you criticized his political policies. Compre?
Check todays paper. Speaking about political expediency, a friend of the gov, and a friend of big oil . . . :hihi: 2theadvocate.com | Angelle: Oil bias why he's a republican
The drilling moratorium has no ill effect on "Big Oil". They just pick up their rigs and go elsewhere. It cripples Louisiana oilfield workers and the residual economy, however. Scott Angelle should be lauded for his stand. You, however, have always had an issue with big corporations. They make money and you can't stand it.
More admirable than appeasing Jindal, who does not have Louisiana's best interests at heart. He was a good DNR secretary before he became Bobby's man. How wrong you are. I have no issue at all with big corporations making big money. I'm getting rich owning big corporations and I hope they keep making big money in a big way. I'm against big corporations influencing our government, which is supposed to be influenced by its citizens constituents, not lobbyists and their bags of cash. The government cannot be owned by big business anymore than they should be owned by the unions or any other special interest. Government must balance the desires of the special interests against the greater good of the nation, neither favoring them nor disfavoring them.
He's not Bobby's man any more than he was Blanco's man. He works for Jindal. What do you expect? What a crock of sh!t. You, who defend Obamacare, stimulus to nowhere, cap and trade, etc etc are suddenly worried that government is getting the short end? What turnip truck do you think I fell off of?
