And I can see that you are a man of God. Yesiree.

Look, my friend. For a $5,000 offering to the Church of Red, I will personally see to it that non-Christians will look after your dog when you disappear at the Rapture on Saturday. Guaranteed to support pets for the rest of their born days. The Church of Red will need a direct deposit by Friday at 6:00.

Not unless you put the 5k to the Red55 TigerFan Forums scholarship fund. (see the high cost of college thread.)

I assume that's a shot at my low tolerance for lazy people who don't pay taxes but bitch that the rich get too many breaks.

No, I assumed you were dim enough to send me the money. You'll believe anything after all.

You mean like believing the economy is recovering and Obamacare is a rousing success?

I swear, you Obama bashers aren't just myopic, you're just plain wrong. Aside from the fact that RED55 already put the lie to this egregious accusation with this reply:

"...the Obama administration did not "charge and attempt to court marshall 3 Navy Seals". The charge was made by the SEALS own command structure. They were not required to face court martial, but only possible non-judicial punishment at a "Captain's mast". The charges were minor and likely to be dropped, but the SEALs themselves requested a court martial. They thought the media had made the charges high-profile and that a Captain's mast wouldn't be taken as seriously as acquittal at a court martial.

Only one was charged with assault. All three were charged with dereliction of duty, false official statement, and impeding an investigation, which is the real concern of the Navy, not the alleged assault."

We must all consider the following...while the SEALS did the job, and a damned fine job at that...President Obama had the courage to give the order when it could've blown up in our faces. He made the decision to use the SEALS instead of lobbing daisy cutter bombs on the complex. As a result, we not only confirmed it was The Cowardly Murderer, but we gathered 10 hard drives and over a hundred data storage devices...things we probably wouldn't have been able to achieve if we'd have bombed him. And I only give the following thoughts in order to offer perspective and not a bastardized history lesson, but it would behoove everyone who refuses to give Obama his due to remember that FDR didn't fight in World War II, but he made the decision to carry the fight to two war fronts. To this day, we are the only nation to win a war on two fronts...and now we find ourselves in another one. Also, Harry Truman didn't build the bomb or fly the plane to drop it, he was the one who made the decision to drop it on Japan. Imagine the balls required. Nixon didn't drop the bombs on Haiphong and Cambodia, but he gave the order to escalate the bombing of Haiphong in North Vietnam and the secret bombing of Cambodia and it helped bring the North Vietnamese to the negotiating table. Carter didn't fly the helicopters in Desert One to liberate our hostages in Iran, but he gave the order to proceed with the mission and, when it failed miserably, HE was the one who got blamed and it very probably cost him the re-election. Reagan didn't parachute into Grenada, but he gave the order to invade. Bush Sr. didn't drive a tank into Kuwait to remove the Iraquis in Desert Storm, but he spearheaded the forming of the coalition and had the courage to give the order to commence with the air and ground war. Bush "W" didn't invade Iraq and Afganistan in his War against Terror, but he gave the order to proceed with the invasion. To me, the beauty of a civilian led military is that we have a civilian commander in chief...and for those few days, at least, President Obama did pretty damned good, I think. I don't minimize the courage and skill that SEAL Team 6 displayed in executing thier mission at all, but just like many of you are sick of hearing so much about Obama leading this thing, I'm equally sick of hearing that he had nothing to do with it. He did have a huge part in it, and, while he didn't personally storm Bin Laden's complex, he did have the moral courage to give the "go" on the operation when things weren't certain at all...and he did it in his first term instead of making the usual political decision to wait until his second term.

PS...where's the freaking Gamecock icon on this site, for crying out loud? lol
