There was outrage. Then Federal laws were created prohibiting the behavior. The OP was pointing to the fact that valid VRA charges were dropped in this case. And there are accusations that they were dropped because the accused were black. Laws were broken and the charges were dropped, and there is uncertainty why. This has nothing to do with the actual intimidation that you think is ok since it's payback.

Another quick and fast stereotype you throw at me, but no your not a bigot at all.
I will prove it give me a few minutes.
You're throwing up a smokescreen to criticize the Obama administration, while pulling the race card and ignoring other racial injustices at the sametime.. Like I said your shyt stinks.

there was outrage. and slowly a lot of it was overcome. at least from the "official" and overt public status.

of course there are still problems with racism. we cannot erase hate and the cycle that some are raised in that do not know any better. but we can change the public consciousness and legal toleration of it.

if you think there was no outrage, i invite you to find a time machine and go back to the 60's. if you cant do that, you might want to see what is being done by groups like the southern poverty law center. (they have a web site, and they track all hate groups, no matter what color or religion.)

as far as where was i, i was a child so all my outrage was over not getting chocolate almond ice cream.

Unless you can point to one thing I have said that is not documented fact, I suggest you just STFU. I don't take being called racist and bigoted lightly and I'm giving you wide latitude because you are clearly upset. You are hurling accusations with no basis in fact. You don't like the subject so you react with personal attacks? I suggest you step back and try to view this with a cooler head.

What are you talking about? Liberal voters are only intimidated by liberal politicians.

Why is it anytime a something wrong is pointed out by this administration, the only defense is "it has happened before"?

You guys sound like USC fans. It's pathetic. Obviously there were problems with this sort of thing in the past, and there was outrage or there would be no civil rights laws today. And the same can be said for many of the things that Obama has done wrong. You can probably find an example of a politician doing any similar thing in the last 50 years. Does that make his administration justified? Did he not promise us he would handle DC differently? Isn't that why he got voted in, because he would be different? So when he just proves to be another power-grabbing, friend-rewarding politician, it is ok because "it has happened before"??

That is the defense here? Really?

    pssssttt......

check history a bit closer. in the 60's the majority of white southerners practicing voter intimidation, holding office and allowing it, were democrats. ever heard of the "dixiecrats"?

this has nothing to do with republican/democrat. unfortunately, this has everything to do with black white. it did then, it does now.

and again (god, i feel like a parrot)..... wrong is wrong. we will not eradicate wrong doing until we free ourselves from the payback mentality.

I dont care what you dont take lightly,. dont give me any latitude, if you dont like it put me on ignore. Im accurately describing you and you cant stand it. Its not a personal attack, its your usual bullshyt, you can bring up race, but I cant without you saying Im pulling the race card, you're a hypocrite and a bigot and if you dont like it, what can you do about it.
So I suggest you put me on ignore and dont suggest anything to me.
Definitely not upset, but be proud of what you are..lol
here is an example where you said I pulled the race card because I said that the Arizona law would lead to racial profiling.

I didn't accuse you of pulling the race card. I accused of of pulling it then saying you didn't.

Also, I am not going to ignore you but neither am I going to try and discuss an issue intelligently when you can't get past the race component.

Contrary to contemporary media belief, hating Obama does not make one a racist and despite your protestations, you have dealt the entire deck on this thread.

An old friend was once accused of calling someoner a cocks*cker. He replied: "I didn't call you a cocks*ucker. I said HIT the cocks*cker. But NOW, I call you a cocks*cker."
