Dismissed out of hand by boehner because of any tax increases, even though it includes entitlement reductions. Predictable even though it Pissed off a lot of libs. Wish BO would go big on entitlement reform- push back ss benefits a couple years, include means testing, go single payer and cut dod in half.
It's too bad this country lacks responsibility. It would solve almost all of our problems. If people were responsible there would be little need for entitlements. If Obama has any leverage it's because the media covers him moreso than ever. His stunts like saying the sky was falling if sequestration took place then shutting down White House visits, etc. He's really a drama queen bitch. I'd love to peel his ass with a left. I step on him as I walked away from his knocked out high yella ass. The Republicans won't support any more increase in taxes. Given the deficeit we have, if he hasn't spent enough, he'll never have enough. I'm scaring myself starting to worry that what I used to think were idiots' beliefs may be true. Such things as him being the anti-christ, to even seriously being someone purposefully looking to ruin our Country.

Obama has more leverage because the majority of the American people can see that he is extending an olive branch to the Republicans, and in a very public way, by conceding cuts to entitlements in return for closing loopholes that only the super rich get to enjoy and for corporations like Exxon/Mobil. If the Republicans slap his hand away it will only re-inforce the narrative that Republicans are simply obstructionists which could, and probably would, lead to the Dems taking back the House of Representatives in 2014. The sequester will have negative effects down the road....not to the extent Obama said of course, but if these guys cannot make a budget deal to replace the sequester cuts it could hamper growth in the third and fourth quarters.
The democrats won't take take back the house because the republicans have gerrymandered to the point where they can't lose many, many districts.
