Doesn't matter whether it's injuries or not. What if the guy who started in place of Arden Key had been playing the way Arden did last year? Would you bench him?
Honestly, if I'm the O line coach I stick with this group until you need to make a change. Offensive line is a lot more that individuals blocking individuals. That line has to work as a cohesive unit, like 5 fingers of a hand.
If we had someone to play close to what Key has before this last game, I would've benched him. Those positions would be up for competition on a weekly basis.
Most important unit on the field. Hands down. Doesn't get enough credit. An offensive line staying in sync is huge!
