To put it in perspective, most teams could not lose 4 starters to injuries and remain competitive, much less the #2 team. Faulk's loss is certainly the most significant issue for this team so far this year. It was huge. But, I don't hear any crying from the team or coaches. They just move on, replace, and try to improve.
Its simple... look at the statistics. LSU has been in the top half of the SEC most years in sacks allowed... Not a good statistic for a run-first team.
Well some of you got your wish. Dworaczyk was pulled from left tackle and the line was reshuffled and a youngster added. Result . . . The line gave up three sacks and couldn't open holes for the running game. Towson out rushed the Tigers. If not for Shepard's fabulous 78 yard run, it would have been really ugly. Heaven knows what Stud will do for Florida, but I hope Hurst returns to right tackle where he has been a road grader on the run all year. Somebody still has to step up at left tackle.
10 flags and 5 sacks. it's gonna be long season. And what the hell is wrong with the fans in the stadiums? When we go to the games we stay till final second and then some. Looking at the 3/4 empty stadium in 4th quarter is embarrassing. You don't see the other fans doing that shit.
Actually, I see that a lot with other televised games even though ESPN goes out of their way not to pan too far out on stadium shots. Hell most PAC-twenelve games look only about 3/4 full to begin with. Doesnt make it right for our fans, just makes us more like everybody else...
we dropped to 4th in polls. "Alabama took care of business against a better than expected Mississippi team" and remains #1
we need to get the freaking AP poll out of our heads. It's abortion and gay marriage in politics, a meaningless distraction.
