Apparently this is from his radio show last night, according to Jordy Culotta:

"We didn't adjust properly." Coach O comments on Auburn dropping 8 and even 9 saying that they did not adjust correctly during the game against Auburn but have worked to get that fixed before Saturday including emphasis on the run game.

I just cannot believe this. Auburn was begging us to run. The refusal to adjust, or worse yet, the lack of recognition that we needed to adjust is inexcusable for a big time program such as LSU. This is incompentence and is a fireable offense.

This is what LSU did after receiving a punt at about midfield, up 19-17 in the 4Q.

There are two things that need to be accomplished here. Run clock, score points. This is unacceptable. Indefensible.

    • 1st & 10 at LSU 46
(8:42 - 4th) Max Johnson pass complete to Brian Thomas Jr. for 2 yds to the LSU 48

    • 2nd & 8 at LSU 48
(7:56 - 4th) Max Johnson pass complete to Brian Thomas Jr. for 6 yds to the Aub 46

    • 3rd & 2 at AUB 46
(7:14 - 4th) Max Johnson pass incomplete to Jack Bech

    • 4th & 2 at AUB 46
(7:14 - 4th) LSU Penalty, False Start (-5 Yards) to the LSU 49

    • 4th & 7 at LSU 49
(7:06 - 4th) Avery Atkins punt for 43 yds, punt out-of-bounds at the Aub 8

The first two plays were fine. It was the incompletion on 3rd down that ruined the series. Seriously, it’s 3rd & 2. Run the ball!

When he should, he doesnt. When he shouldnt, he does. Its a cant win if he either a) lacks the instinct to zig instead of zag or b) is not coached to recognize those opps.

Its like the CEO/OC/staff think JFB is still back there.

I don't think this coaching staff wants him running at all.

WAFB had video from practice yesterday of Koy Moore playing running back. Maybe that's just looking for ways to getting him touches; I hope they don't think the run game issues will be solved by a different person running the ball.

Koy has practiced at running back for a couple weeks now I think. They're low on numbers.

    Our rotations are terrible.

This offense is still so disjointed.

My big desire to keep Russ Callaway was his chemistry with Max and he showed he could tailor a gameplan to the strengths of specific players. We've shown so far this year that's maybe our biggest weakness. I fear O is meddling constantly every week. He's said the more pressure he felt at Ole Miss the more he micro managed every little job especially the offense and really screwed over his OC who went on to have success elsewhere. OCs need to find themselves as a play caller just as much as the OL must play together a lot to form cohesion. I feel like every week Jake probably has a list of things he needs to change or work on or correct but that game is over. So he likely is spending his time trying to fix part mistakes instead of figuring out who he is, what this offense is and does well and what to avoid, and how to use what we are to best exploit the next opponent.. that's key.

I just imagine Jake is a dog chasing his tail constantly instead of confidently walking the yard.
