LSU navigated the brutal SEC, finished with the 2nd best record of any BCS school, and beat the #1 team in the country in the end. August-to-January, they accomplished more on the field than any other college football team. NY navigated a weak division in a weak conference. They got swept by GB and Dallas during the regular season. They either lost to or didn't play any team in the top 1/4 of the NFL (Pats, Colts, Cowboys, Jags, Pack, Bolts, Seahawks, or Steelers). But then got hot for three weeks. In my mind, LSU is the national champion and the best team in the country. NY is the winner of the NFL's annual post season tournament. Big difference. I like this guy..... My question remains, in the minds of the Sportswriters...why is the Superbowl Winner so definitive and absolute, but year after year the winner of the BCS remains "up for debate"? I guess if you're a sportswriter, you need to invent things to write about, so why not spread controversy in order to make yourself look important?
With all due respect. I much don't give a damn about the "few" that might be whining about this. The Crystal sits in BR, The Tigers "ARE" the best...all is right with the world!:thumb: Now, if we can just get something done about that BB Team...
