His Rebels have a losing record. They are not relevant in the SEC West at all. Playing a top 5 team on national TV. To me, this is Nutt's kind of game. He will have the Rebels as fired up as possible. I am not predicting a LSU loss and I have not even seen Ole Miss play this year to see if they are any good. But Nutt worries me when he is backed into a corner. Anyone else thinking we will see every trick in the book on Saturday?
He will, but unlike the last few years, LSU has a lot on the line in this game, including a BCS bowl and Mettenberger's official visit. Not to mention breaking a 3-year losing streak. Les is going to take this one personally, and he'll have the team fired up. Masoli will be an interesting defensive challenge for us, mobile QBs typically give LSU fits, but Chavis will be up to the challenge.
My thoughts exactlly I hate playing Houston Nutt when he has nothing to loose!! I just hope LSU is focused.....lsu is way way superior athlete wise.
I hope we attack more in this game. I think laying back against Cam is what hurt us. We need to take it to him and force him to make quick decisions.:geaux:
Could not have said it any better myself!! In the auburn game we played gap assighnment football and it killed us...it took away our edge...which is our ability to be fast and attacking style of defense.
right .....and masoli is no cam newton.....size wise i mean cam is 6-5 250lb.....masoli is 5-10 225lbs.....of course masoli does have alot of experience running.....from the law......but come to think of it so does cam!!
Would be nice if we had the kind of offense to put them in a hole early and wipe out any hope they have. But we don't. Thus, I agree with the defensive comments made above.
Nutt seams to have miles number. Maybe he's the only coach miles can't surprise. You can't out crazy a nutt
I seem to remember something happening during last years Ole Miss game.... Something about a spike... I would say Les tricked himself last year.
