Personally, I think Nutt is underrated and underappreciated as a game day coach. The Hogs could, and very well may, do much worse if he leaves.

Agreed 100%. I have several friends that are AR fans telling me how upset they are the they WON the LSU game as they now fear that he will get another extension and be around for the next 10 years. That guy in my opinion is making a heck of a lot of noise with not nearly as much talent as other teams in the SEC has. In the last two years he has won alot of games with nothing more than two good running backs and a gimicky offense. Good coach and a heck of a football team.
hey guy's...Nutt's in the catbird seat now!! I think the payout is somthing like 4 mil. It's all about the money.
Some of the message boards in hog land, people are talking about not renewing season tickets if Nutt is retained. Sounds real ugly, a no win situation.
Now take those two RB away and what happens :huh: I don't know what their recent recruiting classes look like but I am not betting that the current 1 dimensional situation was intended and therefore probably not sustainable.
Nutt is a great game day coach, but there's a lot more to maintaining a program than that & that's where he comes up short.
Most of it stems from last years success with previous Off coordinator and letting the number one QB get away. But if you look at Nutt's record,its not that bad...For being in the SEC. I guess it was just our turn, since you guys have won the last 4
