It's widely shared and you know it. You are the last tragic defender of the failed wars. Stay the course, Viejo.

I know you don't know it, but you don't know success from sauce piquant.

And Britain . . . and Australia, your Canadian homeland, Germany, Italy, Japan, and on and on. We have a lot of important allies that have been squandered by the Dub.

Ahh . . . ignorance and apathy, the classic combination.

The European allies have been vital to us. Collectively they have a huge economy and a huge military complex. We have cleverly played those guys to our side throughout the Cold War and repeatedly since then. They've always lined up with us because we had mutual goals. Skillfully manipulating allies to follow a lead is an art. Eisenhower and Kennedy had it. Reagan, Bush 41, and Clinton had it.

But we are losing them because of these ill-thought military misadventure in Iraq and poorly-played war in Afghanistan and Bush 43's arrogant focus on unilateral best interests and not to collateral ones. A time is coming when the Brits and the rest of the NATO allies will not go with us automatically. It is foolish to squander important friends in a hostile world.

a scenario where we need their help for a proper cause and they dont give it is difficult to imagine. and even if they wouldnt help, we have proven we can do things alone. besides, the brits, the only powerful country who i really respect, they are still tight with us.

les say for example north korea is starting some ****. and countries in the far east are gettin nervous. and even europe is a bit worried. and we decide to do something. would no one follow us because of resentment? please. they will follow us when it is in their interest, just like always.

Of course, what do you think they are upset about, Obamacare? It's their troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

    Example?
