I'm watching NFL Countdown and watching all of them cream all over themselves about how good the Saints are, and we could see a Saints/Chargers Superbowl with Breeze going against his old team.

To hell with all of them!

Except Steve Young.....after the Falcons game when they were saying we won on emotion, steve said "I saw good team out there"

Someone needs to slap the s**t out of TO's publicist (Micheal Irving).

    OK...Venting done.

Young is usually the only one on the panel that isn't self serving and is most logical with his opinions. The rest do it for flare or get on board with whatever is the hottest story/team/player at the time.

I agree. I like Tom Jackson and Steve Young. Does anybody else like the NFL talking heads 10X more than the college ones? Maybe its because in the end I know they don't really have a part in who plays for championships.

last night before the game, they went around the table and asked who they thought was the team to beat in the NFC, Mortenson said the Giants (wtf?), Jackson said Seattle, Irvin said the Cowboys (really?, lol) and Young said the Saints. When Young explained why he liked the Saints, Jackson had his head down and started to laugh. Then Irvin, having just smoked a blunt a few minutes earlier, started to laugh as well. Young just looked over their way as if to say "what the phuck is funny?".

Thats fine, Young will have last laugh along with all us true Saints.

BTW...anyone else starting to notice all the fair-weather saints fans out lately? One guy was telling me he sat down and truely watched the saints against the boys and he was like "Man the Saints really are a good football team!" Makes me sick!

Any TRUE Saints fan can tell you where they were when Dempsey made THE KICK.

Any TRUE Saints fan STILL hates John Mecom.

Any TRUE Saints fan thinks Cubs fans are losers.

Any TRUE Saints fans are leery of Heisman winners.

Why would analysts buy into the Saints or "give them respect" at earlier points in the season? Does over 30 years of ineptitude not count for something? Or the fact that the Saints are such a shocker this year, especially on defense? So now, after putting together a nice record and a great win over the Cowboys, it's reasonable to think the Saints may be legit.

Not every analyst is paid to pump black and gold sunshine (though I'm convinced they ARE paid to pump Gints blue, Iggles green, or Pats whateverthehell colors.)

who cares if the Saints get respect? This is the NFL championships are decided on the field not in the media.

As far as calling out people who just recently started watching/rooting for the Saints. You might want to remember that it's these "fair-weathered fans" that are helping keep this team in Louisiana.

Even with all the TRUE Saints fans supporting crappy teams every year Benson still wanted to move the team out of New Orleans. It was only when the 'fair-weathered fans' came out the closet and started buying tickets and Reggie Bush jerseys that it became obvious to everyone including Benson that this team wasn't going anywhere.

I don't think anybody was arguing that point because I believe you are correct. I think what was really meant is after a years and years of being miserable and "made fun of" for being a Saints fan, those same people are now seeing you in bars or on the street and wanting high fives!! I have to agree with being a little irritated about it as I have to watch most games in a bar and have been since I moved here. All of a sudden an entire bar that used to heckle me are wanting me to get the Saints stuff when I am in town! Sometimes it is fun because I love having more Saints fans around but there are some of these people that I want to smack in the mouth for the years of cr** I heard from them!!! JMO for what it is worth!!!
