I think more sanity will show up in the coming days but most are pissed we blew this game. Rightly so and I am with them. To step back and look we have a OC who is about out the damn door and frankly have not been as advertised for whatever reason, many key peices missing, horrible special team play, ect. It was strang we out played the domers but frankly didn’t deserve to win.

Well said. The only thing I somewhat disagree on is in the end our special teams let us down more than anything today. Yes the Offense playcalling wasn’t good but it would have been enough if we just make field goals. It looks as though we have that fixed for next year. Assuming the kicker we just recruited doesn’t come in and become a head case by proximity to the current kickers.

Also the season as a whole has been better than most expected (I would contend any way). What record did most everyone think we would have after the Troy cluster? In that context this has turned out to be a pretty good season and one to growth from moving forward. However taking it at face value no we didn’t do what we wanted but let’s face it we did have a nine win season and we have a ton of peices in place for next year. We do also have areas to fill, depending on our OC hire I think we are still moving in the right direction. IMO

I agree as well. But again this is year 1 so there is that. If this was year 3/4 I would be more ready to hold people accountable.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the play calling what was wrong was execution. Also Etling had very little time to throw today which proves my point that our OL is not there yet. If Etling had Mayfield or Hurts type scrambling ability it would made a bit of a difference today. Whats unfair here is this is not O's team yet. This is his first true recruiting class and he has filled his needs well so far with exception of maybe one more RB and a great QB. I will give him a pass on QB because dont think Canada's offense attracts great QB's.

 

We make 2 field goals we win by 2. Maybe it was a wise move to use a scholarship for a kicker.

100% no. Jimbo has similar situation with his oline as we had this year and they looked like garbage and lost to nobodies all year long. On top of that we would have paid that jack ass 7 million a year no thanks. I’m looking forward to atm’s buyers remorse.
