I somewhat agree; your ability to criticize your heroes needs to be expanded. Eaux doesn’t deserve a pat on the back following this debacle. ND was overrated; not chopped liver, but nothing to write home about.

How do you know he is not great coach after 22 games 9 of them having to coach 4 games into last season without being prepared to coach? We havent had a decent big time QB in 10 years and dont have one now and you judge this coach who is playing with what Miles left us? I dont know if he is great yet either but he has shown me he can win here without having his own players. Try being an astute loyal fan for a while. Give me a list of coaches who you can assure us would have done a better job. I'am waiting.

 

Disappointing game. I’ll put this loss on O in the main. There were coaching decisions that had significant impact. I would have gone for it at the end. Also they were stuffing the middle why not go wide or give Etling a RPO? Why wasn’t Guice in on the last series? Put both him and D Williams in. As @LaSalleAve said in another thread ND would have had 99+ yards to go. There were other instances.
That being said ND held an edge at both LOS and that had a big impact as well. Also as has been pointed out there was an obvious push off on the last ND touchdown. BUT the coach is responsible.

We can bitch and moan but O is here for 2-3 more years anyway. Hopefully he learns and improves. Likewise he needs to solidify the OC position. I’ve heard Canada was forced on him by Aleava. If true O must put his foot down and make his choice and stick with it. Indecision is the worst enemy of a team.

It’s ok to be unhappy but O is due more leash and time before judgement.
