Great Job Defense. They looked so much better. Given that we know UF's offense is not top tier right now, even if Driskel was playing. But never the less, the LSU D made them look even worse.
Hopefully this is a confidence boost to the D-line because they had a pretty good game.

I'm not too worried about the Offense play calling being run 90% of the time. I think LSU O was playing ot UF's weakness. If they expect the passing game and prepare for the passing game, then we will run on them. I wish they would've used the play action a little more though. That was for selfish reasons though, I want Metts to get his numbers way up there. But then again I'm OK if everybody talks about Oregon's QB and Manziel, just let Metts quietly do his thing and have a huge year without hype all year.

Who is to say that this wasn't CC's call to run the ball this much as he was game planning. I like to see that flexibility on offense to play to the defense's weakness. It is awesome that LSU Offense is great at both.

Agreed. It was a miserly, ball-protecting smash-mouth football game, denying FU the chance to take a pick six to the House (though Mett is not throwing any of those this season).

If FU was left scratching their heads--because we played a game different than they had prepped for, that leaves the rest of our opponents having to prep for........what?

Exactly! Just what they didn't want to have to do--to prep for a complete team, a team that can turn the run or the pass on at will.

    Hey! A team like......................Alabama.

Hey, Gumps. Hide your women! We're coming for YOU!

Cameron is doing his job, what I see on offense is a team that is playing to the weakness of the opposing defense. And Georgia is weak in pass defense and run defense so that was a pick your poison game. Be happy people. Florida's weakness on D was the linebacker and safety size, so if you run at em, alot you can start to wear em out, and pound them. Cam Cameron is actually game planning, instead of just being a 1 dimensional offense. I don't need to see an air show every week. It's just nice to know that we have a guy capable of getting it done in the passing game. He was a little off but, the O line, tailbacks, and D picked him up and had his back. Very refreshing.

Cams job is to win games. Not set records, those come along the way. Like I said before, Cam looks for a weakness in a defense and goes after it. He uses what you give him, the rest he takes. He's slowly working in what he wants to do this year

I agree Can is game planning WELL and appropriately. (As long as Can continues to do it).

This style of game doesn't bother me this year. It bothered me last year when the whole college football world knew we couldn't do much else. The offense this season has shown everyone that they can not only air it out when they want to, but they will run it down your throat as well if you prefer to go that route. Defensive coordinators (those that face us), are quaking in their boots right now.

It reminded me of the Saints vs Bears last week.

Saints fans thought we should have put up 40 points on them, but Payton was masterful with his game plan.

In the immortal words of Herm Edwards, "You play to win the game!". We did just that yesterday.

Teams that face us have to defend the whole field and all players in our offense. The backup QB is slowly coming into play, giving DC another thing to spent time working on during practice.

You take what the other team gives you. If the team is begging you to run, you run. If they are forcing you to throw, you throw.

While we could have done both relatively well, Mett was off and the COACHES did the right thing by limiting Mett. Mett did not have the goods yesterday and during a season, that happens.

Furthermore, what we did to UF now scares the shit out of most every team we will face. We forced UF to play wtf we wanted them to play.

Our D is comming of age and the D'line has arrived.

I promise you this, UF has a better run D than UGA, but UGA sold out on the run, so we threw it.

In this game, UF gave us a balanced approach. Never really loaded up the box until the 2nd half. In which Mett missed some key throws and LSU left the 3rd quarter with 8 plays TOTAL.

It is what it is, but don't get it twisted, this LSU team can do whatever the frick it wants to any D.

Further, LSU rolled out the same offense with the same plays last year with ZERO adjustments.

If it isn't clear to tiger nation that it is 300% different this year, then your head is in the sand.
