Towson has an offense that is light years ahead of ours. I agree, but I think we need to include Ark in the teams that we could lose to. They score twice as many points on AU in Jordan-Hare then we did. And gave up fewer too.
I was thinking about the Petrino option, but instead of Bobby I was thinking we should just throw some money at Paul Petrino and pry him away from Arky. My guess is that he'd bring a hell of a lot less baggage.
We will see what happens in the off-season. I don't expect to see any major adjustments or changes during this season. I don't think that 8-4 will prompt changes, either, because that is still winning football and a bowl game. That's a successful result in the world of college football, and, for many LSU fans.
I agree that we won't see major changes in-season. I disagree regarding after the season, though. I think 8-4 will bring changes, vis a vis what happened after 2008 when we were having problems on defense. We need a dedicated OC, and a dedicated OL coach. Notwithstanding the injuries, the current setup on O is not working.
There won't be changes mid-season, but if we go 8-4, or even 9-3, we WILL have a new offensive coordinator next year. It happened with the defense in '08. Crowton was let go after '10. Miles will do that. Past history almost predicts it.
miles needs to manage the team recruit and bring in a o/c to run the offense, and put stud on the sidelines to straighten up the offensive line.
