You have to understand that some people ARE happy BEING a malcontent. It's just too bad that we have to put up with their constant crying. Maybe Brett could put in a Malcontent forum and all of those posts could go in there between Monday and Saturday.
LSU will continue to get better, they'll start to show they can throw the deep ball, the DL and OL will start playing better and our defense will start laying wood to anyone wanting to touch the ball... if they don't... and they'll learn the hard way with a lot of losses if not... but if they don't get their act together, their going to be humiliated all over ESPN and other networks until next fall. Now that SEC play is coming it's sink or swim time.
How do you figure that was a D performance...... We won 31-3. It wasnt even really ugly. I watched the game, and thought it was a good game. Before u say " I didnt say we performed at a D level". To me you insinuated the fact with the statement. And I believe after the seasons over look back at USL record and see if they are really that bad of a team...... As UW is doing to most on this board after 3 games they mite not suck as bad as we all remember.
I don't know about dominant, but the Miami Hurricanes have looked pretty damn good against two Top 20 opponents. They've got Virginia Tech Saturday.
To me Miami has only played ACC teams and I dont believe ACC teams play alot of Defence just like the Big 12 and unforunately they dont play UF this year so we wont really know
Everyone needs to remember that LSU's QBs are just . . . J Lee >>>>>>> red-shirt SO J Jefferson >>> should be red-shirt FR R Shepard >>> could be red-shirting his FReshman year learning the system Nowhere does Junior or Senior appear next to their names. Traditionally as FR and SO, an LSU QB is still learning the play, gets four or five snaps a game, and skips the shower afterwards! Let's all sit back during the game and raise our glass/mug when the QB does something good and put the glass/mug down if something not-so-good happens as it will from time to time. :geauxtige
I think that's the key point. Inexperience ona very big stage. But there is a possibility that Jefferson just won't be able to connect timing wise on 30 yard passes this year. Anyway - this program is in rare air and the fanbase that's doing the most irrational b!tching is probably too young or too new to remember when a 7 win season and a solid bowl victory was "gimme some skin" material.
JJ will continue to improve and gain confidence. He has yet to learn to trust that his receivers will be at the "spot" and to put the ball there for them. He is waiting for them to come out of the break before throwing, rather than throwing as they are breaking. This timing is gained through repetitiveness on the practice field. He will continue to study film and Crowton will work him on this in practice everyday. All of a sudden, it will click for him, and he will get the timing down. He still locks in on occasion, but several plays he looked the other way before coming back across to his primary receiver. He has shown subtle improvements. We just need to be a little more patient. Our schedule allows him one more competitive game for improvement before we get another significant challenge on the road at UGA. By no means I am looking past MSU, but we should be able to go into Starkville and come out with a W.
