The chop block was unfortunate but, if I read correctly, it is the 2006 stress fracture of the tibia that is the real problem. I'm not picking a fight but that begs the question (and I've seen it raised here in the past by LSU fans) why he was playing at certain times during the 2007 season to begin with.
I read that as well which i do concede, but if it was the same leg, the chop block surely didnt make it better.
The Clayton dude from ESPN (who actually is one of the few who always seems to get his story right) said that this will have a neglible effect on Dorsey's draft position.
the story bouncing around the Atlanta airwaves is much less about Dorsey’s past injuries, and much more about his lack of physical conditioning. According to sources close to the Falcon’s camp, Dorsey failed to use the offseason to properly prepare, has failed to fully participate in scheduled workouts, and has publicly stated that the reason for both is due to his grandmother’s passing. According to Len Pasquerelli, NFL insider, Dorsey’s stock is falling among teams holding the top draft positions. In other words, they are questioning GD’s work ethic, not his talent-level. Even before this, GD was noted as a defender that would “take plays off.” I dunno where that’s coming from, because the dude was a beast on every play I witnessed ….. sounds like typical pre-draft propoganda to me.
He was at the Walt Disney Wide World of Sports complex getting training and a few other facilities over the country. I do not think they have that part of it right. His grandmother passed a week ago or less so I am assuming he missed a week tops of training. As vball stated before and you just stated it is the time where every recruit gets the negatives true or not brought to the forefront. Work ethic has and will not be a problem with Dorsey.
