did I miss something? Why was 44 on the field at critical time? I didn't think he was a starter or a super cover guy. Was someone hurt or was he an "extra" DB for that series? :eek:ldskule:

I had to leave for work, so I was listening and not watching, but I believe Curtis Taylor got hurt.

It was a 4th and long so they had to go with their Nickel package.

Well, what I observed was a blown defensive assignment and an LSU Defense
who is probably last in the NCAA in the red zone.
We couldn't stop Arkansas in OT just like we couldn't stop Kentucky.
Their is no excuse for a talented defense like this to be last in the NCAA.

And I am not disagreeing with you at all. Fact of the matter is that we did not play well and did not deserve to win.

I know, I'm sorry, this was so upsetting, all I can replay is the blown coverage on 4th down and that we couldn't stop them in the red zone.
We lost the Kentucky game in OT the same way.
I see a pattern here, a team gets in the red zone and we are toast!

I thought some of the 'lame' calls cost the SEC several millions of dollars that took us out of the national title game......even with that we should have covered!

Even the lame ass holding call on Helms that would have given us a first down after the Hester touchdown pass call was called back..........even with bad calls against us we STILL should have covered!!!

Arkansas deserved the win. One of the greatest games I've ever seen.
Just hated seen our seniors lose their last game at Tiger Stadium.

Heart breaking loss. Still.......a GREAT game!

    Great post.

It was a great game, and when the disappointment wears off, I just might appreciate more. :eek:ldskule:

No worries here! We can still win the SECCG and the Sugar Bowl and finish 12-2. That is nothing to shake a stick at!:geaux:
