I am by no means blaming the refs, however, I saw 1 horrible call and 1 horrible no call. The holding penalty called on Helms was terrible - he barely touched the guy! On McFadden's long TD run, I thought Casey Dick blocked Jones in the back. I am not calling sour grapes here, just making an observation. LSU!
WTF? Our fed zone is the worst in football and we want to blame refs? You say you aren't blaming them? Why bring it up otherwise?
He is right about the holding call, which after the Doucet penlty was the death nail on that drive. NO WAY that was a holding because the guy ran right by without being touched! The Dick Block was legit and not a block in the back.
I saw the same thing on Casey Dick's block, but even though it was replayed a dozen times neither announcer even said it was questionable. However, they were so busy slobbering over McFadden, it's no surprise they didn't mention it. Having said all that, McFadden is a GREAT RB and the only way he could look better is if he'd been wearing Purple & Gold for the last few years. He should be the HT winner, but I'm afraid Tebow will get it for his 20+ & 20+ performance this year. ldskule:
That was a clean block by Casey Dick, he got em by the side...The holding on Helms was bad...But what about the mistake by Doucet on the TD that was called back??? Or the fact that we got a fumble on the Arkansas 25 yard line and couldn't do anything???
The biggest mistake was by McCray not covering Hillis or maybe it was the TE on the fourth and ten in overtime. IF he covers the guy the game is over.
Yup..It was a big mistake and it was Hillis..He was unreal today...But, if Doucet doesn't make that mistake, we don't go to overtime.
I agree 100%. We choked in some pressure situations. I got creamed earlier this year for bashing a player, but McCray has got to step up! He has been burned numerous times this year and his last mistake may have been the final nail in the coffin of our NC dream.
What's crazy is that the CBS analysts have been saying for a couple of games that teams pick on Mccray, yet he's still out there.
