Not bad for a team with no first, or second, team all conference players!

You could say that, but LSU won the baseball SEC Tournament, which is how the conference crowns it's champion.

Agree with you about forgetting about last football season though.

you're located in Georgia... that's really all I have to say on the subject.

But LSU in many's eyes IS the SEC Champion. Moreso than Georgia.

LSU won the West and the SEC Tournament.

That in my eyes is better than winning the regular season title and going 2 and out in the SECT.

Granted, I watched that Georgia team play in person and boy, oh boy is that Beckham kid a player.

Their closer, Fields is filthy, too. But SEC or no SEC, I want them 2 and out in Omaha.

I'm pretty sure if you asked the 7 other teams in Omaha who they didn't want to face first, most would say LSU.

Personally, I prefer regular season titles over tournament titles. That goes for basketball, too. I feel like the team with the most complete body of work over the course of the season deserves recognition. Teams can get on a streak and win a tourny after horrid regular season efforts (see Texas Southern).

    Georgia is the SEC Champion

Just like Tennessee, not Georgia was the basketball champion.

If it's about "Deserving" LSU would have played in the SEC Championship Game in '06 instead of Arkansas too though. Seems like a bad year for Georgia as far as getting left out of the big picture. LSU getting most of the attn. in football and baseball. The outcome of the CWS could have a lot more bearing on that as well, either way.

    Good luck and represent. :thumb:
