Not bad for a team with no first, or second, team all conference players!

Clark not on there and Dean, too is as laughable as UGA's football claim for the national title.

What makes LSU is that there is no soft spot in the lineup. Correct me if I am wrong, but every hitter 1-9 has hit a postseason HR.

Granted, their last update was on May 3, and didn't get to consider the monster streak LSU has been on, but the last Rivals.com College Baseball Power Rankings didn't have a single LSU player listed in their Top 15 in the nation by position.

LINK: http://collegebaseball.rivals.com/viewcbaseballse.aspThey had Mainieri at #12 head coach in the nation, but that was it for LSU.

As for Irvine, they had pitcher Scott Gorgen at #2 in the nation and outfielder Ollie Linton at #14 in the nation.

As for the North Carolina team that we face next, they had this:

Mike Fox at #2 head coach in the nation
Dustin Ackley at #5 1st basemen in the nation
Kyle Seager at #6 middle infielder in the nation
Tim Fedroff at #7 outfielder in the nation
Alex White at #8 pitcher in the nation

Also, North Carolina is ranked #1 in the nation in the May 19 Baseball America Poll (LSU was #10, Irvine was #14), North Carolina is ranked #1 in the nation in the May 19 Collegiate Baseball Poll (LSU was #8, Irvine was #25), and North Carolina was ranked #2 in the nation in the May 26 USA Today/ESPN Poll behind Miami (LSU was #7, Irvine was #12).

Regarding NCAA National Seeds, North Carolina was ranked #2, LSU was ranked #7 (Miami was #1).

All I know is we have a DAMN STRONG TEAM in the CWS. While none of these young men may be stars in the eyes of the national press or other groups that generate these “all whatever teams”, they are ALL stars in the eyes of the Tiger Nation.

Based on the preseason projections and the season ending all star lists we have seen, their season should be over. Everyone one of them keep making outstanding plays and they just keep showing everyone how exceptional they are as a team.

Should I say something like LSU doesn't deserve to win the NCAA Baseball Tournament because Georgia won the SEC and went 2-0-1 against LSU in Baton Rouge during the regular season?

Or should I just ask that we all finally put the 2007 Football results in the record books and move on already?

I believe so. I don't ever remember us being so solid 1-9, there is never a point where I worry about who's coming to bat and wish we were somewhere else in the order. Our 9 hitter has 11 or 12 hr's.
