I wonder if North Korea is really up to something. We are laughing at them and making fun of them and they keep spitting in our faces. They keep saying things like the 'moment of explosion' is nearing and are really ramping up their nuclear rhetoric against the U.S. We all know that we can doze the country in a matter of days and we are taking some precautions to protect ourselves from an attack, but what if we are being too complacent? What if they ship a nuke over here by some other means or some non-conventional method (such as a shipping container, etc). Do y'all think that we are taking the threat of being nuked serious enough?
I don't think we import much from N. Korea, I would imagine they could ship the damn thing off to China and then have them ship it here but that would put China's ass in a crack as well. I think they are just making noise. They must be out of ramen.
I think NK gets its kicks off of talking shit to everyone around the world knowing if anyone takes action against them, China has to come to their defense.

Kim Jong Un is 30, and is trying to posture himself for his people. Ninety percent of this rhetoric is for internal consumption. North Korea barely has the resources to start a war, and after the initial effort to march south they would have nothing in place in terms of supply lines and resources to sustain a war effort. They could fuck some serious shit up with a million man army, but not for very long, and the risk is great.
Especially since it is coming up on summer. If they ever start shit the bridges and passes are the first thing to blow and the roads are no longer passable meaning they would have to take to the terrain. Ever been to S. Korea? It is all rice paddy. Try getting through that crap (literally) when it is flooded.
The problem is if they start something they fall to pieces. China is as afraid of that as anything. If NK falls millions of North Korean refugees will stream into China and destabilize it. Chinese don't know whether to shit or go blind. They have propped them up for so long the explosion will hurt them as much as the SKs or more. Russia doesn't care what happens and is the wild card here.
