You sure do have a lot of unnecessary ill will towards him then.

No ill will. You would be dead too. Actually I'm married- no girlfriend. I don't have a lot of patience with screw ups. Miles has more than I do. He would have been kicked off after the counterfitting incident. LSU can recruit kids with better character. Don't you think so?

LSU made RP sit on the bench as a back-up QB for 2005, 2006, and 2007. If he was so concerned about himself over LSU, then why didn't he transfer to a school that would let him actually start at QB? Remember that Colt McCoy, the QB that Texas got in the same recruiting class RP originally agreed to be part of at Texas, started as QB for Texas as a red-shirt freshman in 2006 and a red-shirt sophomore in 2007, all while RP was sitting on the bench as a back-up at LSU.

As for RP failing at JSU, I think that is a very real possibility.

With off-the-field issues, JSU and their local media is going to have RP on a very short leash. To think otherwise is nutty.

On-the-field, RP is not going to have first and second round NFL WRs to throw to like Jamarcus Russell had with Bowe, Davis and Doucet. Instead, RP is going to be throwing to receivers at a Div II program that isn't even ranked in the Top 25 of Div II football. I imagine his OL isn't that great, either, even for Div II standards.

Even if RP does pull it all together, even if he does stay out off trouble, and even if he does play good enough to impress NFL scouts, he will never go high in the NFL draft. And that's the best case scenario for RP (right now, the only NFL scouting site that I know off that projects RP as a future draft prospect, projects him as a 7th round QB for the 2010 draft, assuming he does well enough during his next two years at JSU).

Here's one of the shirts JSU fans are buying to show their support of RP:

Here's the spoof Jacksonville State alternative NCAA 09 cover--from this site that also spoofs LSU, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama (several covers), Arkansas, USC, and Ohio State (link)

I have a feeling he will make it by at JSU with nothing serious or a trend of dumb behavior.

He is now addicted to something productive, Golf, that will set him straight.
