As much of a hole as it's put us in this year, I'd much rather see Perrilloux take this as motivation to turn things around rather than fading into irrelevance. If he can truly turn things around, maybe he'd still have a shot to be drafted and get a shot in the NFL.

Winning the SECCG MVP last year should have motivated him to turn things around, too. He had a ticket to ride as starting QB on another top-10 team contending for the championship. But the guy is a total slacker.

Talk is cheap. Perrilloux had better have his head on straight and toe the friggin' line at this point . . . but I have no confidence in him at all.

I really don't care anymore. He forced us to waste valuable reps that should (given what we know now) have gone to Hatch.

He'll still play in the NFL. He's too talented not to get picked up in a later round. IMO, if he pulls it together and straightens up his attitude, he'll be a fourth round steal for some team.

He'd fit right in for Atlanta...:rolleye33:

Well, we'll all be able to see him on August 28 -- Jacksonville State at Georgia Tech on ESPN.

If he passes his drug test in August.

I hope he has taken something away from his experiences at LSU. It would be a shame to see such potential go to waste, but ultimately that will be his decision.

It is entirely up to him now, I have no idea what he is gonna do with his life. But now he has just gotta decide what he wants to do with his life. No one is gonna be able to help him anymore.

From the ESPN article concerning his transfer:

Because Baton Rouge is known as a huge bustling metropolis with lots and lots of distractions ....

I grew up in a small town. If he wants to make trouble, he'll find something there to get into trouble doing. I don't think location would have much to do with him turning it around.

The group he hangs out with outside of practice, that's another story. He might be able to get away from the people he's been running with.

Because Baton Rouge is close to New Orleans and because he was too close to his gangsta homies and his family, neither of whom offered him any help at all in maturing, getting serious about school, and advancing his professional career prospects. Coach can only do so much for a kid that values his street cred above his team responsibilities.
