Big night for the Jazz. Spanking the Clippers which is not what made the night because that should have been a spanking but finally some losses to the top 3 setting the Jazz just one game behind the Lakers to move into the 3rd seed and 2 games back from 1st. Jazz have a tough last 6 games but if they can find ways to stop the big dogs with some solid D the Jazz could be in the top 2 seeds. However, still do not like seeing the Hornets lose but they will be fine.
that is more important for Utah than any other team in the NBA, because of their inability to win on the road. I see them finishing No. 4, though... We'll see. They might get into that 2-3 spot. It's too close to predict either way. CNN is not yet ready to project a winner in the Western Conference Caucus. lol
Utah has started games slow on the road but have not been humilated on the road. I think this will be a non issue in the playoffs IMO b/c this team is showing signs of cohesivness at the right time. Only 4 games left on the road but 3 of them are to good to decent teams. @NO, @Mavs, @SA. Utah should win the next 3 and with a little help I think they will can move up. However, the last 6 games are against teams with over 60% winning percentage combined. I know the Rockets are one of them and I look forward to watching that game on NBATV.
If I am not mistaken, that is our tiebreaker game, right? I know we beat you all in Utah the 2nd game, and ya'll beat us in houston before the streak. Seeding doesn't mean a ton for you guys. Everyone in the West is very, very good and if they move up to No. 3, they still wouldn't have home court against the Suns as of right now. That's just how tight the West is. The Rockets are No. 5 seed, but would have home court over 2 of the teams ahead of them. The Southeast division having 3 dominant teams is causing a standings headache.
Hollinger continues to dis the Hornets...tied for 1st in the West, and he ranks us behind 4 (4!) West opponents http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerranking And isn't he from New Orleans?
