Okay. Great job by the way. So it is statistically and theoretically possible that Mizzou or WV could play our schedule and go undefeated. There you are JL. Not saying they would do it but possibly could do it. Kudo's to Crunch for crunching the numbers.:thumb:
What the dude said plus, actually I don't really count the cupcakes. A rent a win team is just that unless you lose. I don't know what USC's record is playing away from home, I'm guessing really good the last 5 years or so but if you take a look at LSU's schedule next year all our tough games are away from home. We play Auburn, Florida and Arkansas on the road. I have a confession to make however, it has been a while since I looked at our schedule, we always have harder odd year schedules but something has changed. We normally have another away game instead of a home game not to mention LSU doesn't have much success playing in Auburn, Al or at the Swamp. Btw Troy could give us a serious game like they did in 2005. Anyway I don't believe our schedule was as brutal as some make it out to be. A lot of SEC teams played schedules similar to ours. I agree with you here and let me say I really didn't think you would here an LSU fan or coach ever comment or complain about rules in a game. If you aint good enough to win by playing by rules you just flat aint good enough to win. Maybe I've had to much purple kool aid but I'm totally disappointed in a lot of things following the aftermath of our last game.
No no no...a tie is like kissing your sister. Although losing in 3 OT's is like having sex with said sister. Might be OK for Bama...
I am with VBall on this debate about schedule. TYPICALLY, LATELY, the even years have been tougher schedule wise. BUT, I dare say most of us thought our road schedule THIS year including Kentucky would be EASY...and how did that work out? Just because we play a couple of tough road games next year...MAYBE...none of us knows how good our road opponents are gonna be next year...it doesn't mean our schedule next year is any tougher than THIS years. And to stay somewhat on topic, I can only name ONE team that I'm quite certain could've done better with our schedule this year...LSU! ! I agree that Miles is simply lobbying the pollsters, a la subUrban Meyer. He was doing the same thing when he called out the Pac 10 before the season...trying to position us in the preseason polls to have a better chance to play for the :crystal: .
Sat, Aug 30 North Texas H Sat, Sep 06 Troy H Sat, Sep 13 TBD H Sat, Sep 20 Auburn A Sat, Sep 27 Mississippi State H Sat, Oct 11 Florida A Sat, Oct 18 South Carolina A Sat, Oct 25 Georgia H Sat, Nov 01 Tulane H Sat, Nov 15 Alabama H Sat, Nov 22 Ole Miss H Sat, Nov 29 Arkansas A With Tubby possibly opting out of Auburn that is the wildcard here but looking at the schedule it is fairly favorable. The only tough game looks to be Florida in the Swamp. Arky will likely lose McFadden so that away game is favorable. Of course this is the SEC and things happen. If we start the season and can stay undefeated until Florida we would likely be in the top 5. SOS hurts at the beginning unless we fill the opening on Sept 13th with a quality opponent.
