Are there any freshmen that have played, who were recruited as "athletes" and played running back in high school who could have practiced at RB this week? Hopefully we don't need it, but just in case.

I would put Chad Jones at RB before burning that redshirt...

Man, if Ford's redshirt is pulled at this point in the season, especially considering where the team and Miles are now, I believe CLM could/should be run out of town within minutes. It would further prove to me that CLM can not make right decisions no matter whether pressure is on OR off. It would also further that he has no consideration for what is in the kid's best interest or what is in LSU's best interest. No question, for the kind of money we pay him the play calling and game management errors he made during the last 2 minutes of the Ole Miss game should not have happened even from a Division III coach, much less a coach that heads one of the premiere programs in the country.

It would also indicate that he wants his cake (Michigan) and eat it too (his salary from LSU along with the Michigan job). That would leave LSU and the football program in shambles for years to come. I wish he would prove me wrong and show that he's an honorable man by just quitting LSU (forfeiting his remaining salary) and become HC at Michigan, where a lot of people believe his heart is anyway. If he continues to make horrendous calls, like pulling Michael Fords redshirt, and lose to Arkansas our program is shot for at least 1 year, probably more. And with the talent coming out of Louisiana, especially in 2011, it would be criminal for our best players play somewhere else because they do not have the faith in the coach to have their best interest in mind.

I've wondered about CLM for a long time. He, for the most part, has seemed to be made of teflon. He's been exposed now. He's really starting to worry me now!

They have too many other backup rb's they could use for him to have to play Ford. Dominique Allen, Morris Claiborne and Dugas. Aso they could go to formations where there is no RB. Isn't the spread Crowton's specialty. This noise about Ford may be to mess with Petrino's head...(or yours and mine :hihi:)

I wouldn't worry about it at all

(unless it really happens, then I'd be upset)
