Believe it when you see it. The forecast was for 12 inches here in Lubbock, we only have about an inch of snow and a half inch of ice.

Same here deceks. we were supposed to get 5-10 inches of snow, but the snow hasn't started yet, and we have about .25 inch ice.

    From weather.com:

"Following last week's crippling ice storm in parts of Missouri and Kansas, the prospect of another storm on its heels this weekend was certainly disconcerting. Fortunately, several meteorological factors have weighed against a repeat event this weekend.

The instigating upper-level storm over the Four Corners will accelerate northeastward into the Great Lakes and weaken through Sunday. The heaviest snowfall accumulations look to be in the Sunflower State, where 3 to 7 inches are already on the ground as of late Saturday evening, and isolated storm totals up to 10" are possible by Sunday morning.

Otherwise, light to moderate snow will spread from the central Plains into the Mississippi Valley, Ohio Valley, and Great Lakes. Snowfall in the 1-3" range can be expected in both Chicago and Indianapolis Sunday, much of which should fall before kickoff of the conference championship games. This light snow should sweep into Detroit and Cleveland by Sunday afternoon."

    There you have it.

Weather is shaping up to be OK, all things considered. Winds won't be very hard (<10 MPH), light snow (1-3" accumulation all day), temperature not THAT cold (28-30° F for the game) considering what it could have easily been in Chicago in January.

Or considering what they went thru just last week, actually.

I would rather the elements not be a factor, so we can play the game without any complaints by either team or fans.

Looks like the weather is skirting a little north of the city.

I think it's great when weather is a factor. Not a CONTROLLING factor like the Raiders/Pats game a few years ago, of course. But it's great when football is played in less than ideal circumstances. I'm disappointed that so many teams are trying to take this out of the equation with their fancy new domed stadiums.
