It's really just all about drumming up interest and ratings. I don't know if you remember the weekend we played WVU. Every announcer on ESPN was talking LSU up, that if they beat WVU, they should jump to #1, they are the best team, blah, blah, blah. Even Robert Smith was on the bandwagon. The reason? It was the weekend agenda. Just like retail stores drum up reasons for "sales" to get people in the store, ESPN has agendas, everyday, every week. The WVU week, it was to get an SEC team #1, since they have contracts, etc w/SEC. And, this week, since LSU is running away with the season, they are trying like heck to drum up interest. Their ratings depend on it. It's not personal, just like the WVU week, it could have easily been a different SEC team; it was just time for them to want to have an SEC team at the top, rather than Oklahoma. Not saying LSU did not deserve to be catapulted to #1 that week, but Oklahoma did not lose. I thought we should have been #1 immediately after beating Oregon. Point is, it is all about rating agendas for ESPN. All of their talk right now is not that they expect LSU to get beat by ARK, just the 'ol "what if" game of speculation. Drumming up interest via drama, that's what it is all about.

Every team have a group of fans that expect the media to do nothing but brown noise their team when they are doing well. Come on people, do you really expect them just to say how great we are all the time? Who out side of "tiger nation" would want to hear that **** all the time.
I wish I had a nickel for every thread in which people were complaining about a lack of respect. I'd finally be able to get my pony!!! They've gotta talk about something besides our program. We can't expect LSU-love, all the time. The state of Louisiana alone is not enough to support their ratings. Kick back, relax, and enjoy the fact that we're at the top of the BCS mountain, looking down on all the chaos. There's no finer place to be right now.
