I would not do that or else you post will be "deleted" or "edited" as was one of mine. Also, SabanFan and Geauxtigs will try and trash you for not sucking up to Miles. This site is really becoming a joke because of its Gestapo like tactics.
You underestimate the pull of one's Alma Mater. There is also the chance of being the head coach of his alma mater as well. You make me look like a bright-eyed optimist.
I think there are a lot of things to consider here, from someone not in the "know". May be we already have an agreement with someone, but due to their obligations or obligations to the current staff it is not made public. May be there will be some interested parties after the bowl games, that would not make the move before then. Maybe someone in the pros will be hired once their regular season is done. And the worst case scenario is that Miles does nothing or promotes Mallory to sole DC. I still find this one the most unlikely, because if Miles did not plan to change anything he would just come out and say so, nor would he imply change as he has already. I am nervous, but cautiously optimistic that LSU will get a DC that beats all of our expectations so far...which won't be hard as Malveto has lowered mine so far already!
this site tries to not be like td.com, that's why it is the way it is. that is something, btw, that i really like about this place.
By columnist Dave Moormann: Published: Monday, December 8, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. Last Modified: Monday, December 8, 2008 at 12:47 p.m. Fourth-year coach Les Miles hasn’t taken this [disappointing season] lightly, mind you. He’s been getting up with the chickens in contemplating corrective measures. He wasn’t even there when LSU officially accepted its bowl invitation Sunday. He was out of state recruiting. Better he was there searching for more eggs that one day might hatch into prized players rather than at home left holding a basket with a bowl in it. Miles’ devotion to his job has always paid dividends before. Miles never had more than a two-loss season until this year. This, too, in the face of hurricanes and the departure of quarterback JaMarcus Russell. http://www.houmatoday.com/article/20081208/OPINION01/812089921?Title=Is_the_sky_falling_for_Tigers_
Are you saying that you like the censorship and trashing of others posts by idiots like Sabanfan and Geauxtigs? Do you like it when some folks are banned from boards due to unpopular constructive feedback or are you saying that you like this board because they don't emplore those tactics?
so you complain about censorship, but want SF and GT to be censored for disagreeing with your posts? if you don't like what they say, post a rebuttal. that's how these things work.
I think that you maybe closer to the truth than many of the pull the trigger now faithful. To add, Miles maybe going for a bigger fish than any of us Monday morn QBs know about. Plus, whether Miles pulls the trigger before our Bowl or not, will not have any effect on the outcome. A new Dc will not be coaching the D by Bowl time. Just maybe Miles knows what he is doing. I think one of his biggest strengths is that recognizes his weaknesses, and compensates by making sure he has a strong supporting staff. He tested the waters, it failed, now he will fix it.
