Okay, your first line was hilarious. And the "us" I'm getting the beer for had better be you and me, and not just the other "guys" there watching the game. I will go to the kitchen to get another drink during a game.
both were pretty good. well of course, you dont think id let you wear this in front of friends, do you? at least not without an arrangement.
I'm sure there are many of us who are re-thinking our superstitions from this thread. I'm not pulling up the flowers, though! In '03, I planted the week before we lost to Florida, too. Hey, maybe that's the problem...timing...
I have two cell phones. A silver LG Trax for every day use and a pink RAZR that I bring out on game days. I'm now thinking my pink RAZR phone has to be retired. We have won EVERY game from the last season and a half that it has been on with the same background picture (an LSU cheerleader holding a "GEAUX" sign), until Saturday. I promised Jared that I would stop bringing it back out for game days once we lost with that one on. He thinks it's silly and that I'm basically saying the game has nothing to do with what the players are doing on the field, it only matters if I have the pink RAZR out :hihi: I worry though that if I stop bringing it out that I'll lose the mojo still left in it.... Oh what to do, what to do???
I take at least partial blame. Those who know me from the tailgates know I wera my Alley jersey for every game. Been doing that since I finally retired my Tommy Banks jersey a couple years ago. Well, I finally got my (almost) authentic Holliday Jersey in the mail Thursday, and decided to sport it for this game. I will NEVER switch jerseys mid season again. (now i just have to figure out if I'm supposed to just stick with the new one, or go back to Broussard)
Clearly, put on the #22 again. In fact, he had a great game @ South Carolina as a freshman in '03. It's a no-brainer, Nootch.
Also taking some of the blame, every gameday I wear my purple button-up shirt to work and then when I get home I change into one of my game shirts from the past year and I put on my LSU hat that has been everywhere and has been worn every gameday. I even took it to Iraq with me and wore it every gameday (except when I was on patrol) Well, my wife begged me to let her wear my LSU hat and I finally gave in.. turns out she got tired of wearing it, she put it on at 8 am in her defense, and didn't wear it during the game... I was ticked... I told her that she would never again be allowed to touch my LSU hat, period!
