It think one of the reasons they hired him was to build a clean, upstanding program with kids making good progress toward graduation. Stepping as far away from Petrino as possible. He had that at App State but he was part of building it only as a player, it was in place when he got there as a coach.
From what I can see the kids at Louisville aren't buying into. They don't play fearlessly or with a lot of heart.
One criticism of him at App was game planning. They would make great adjustments at half time and through the game but the first half seemed to be let's just roll it out there and see what happens.
