I thought 2019 was an outlier. In wins when you see a team go two, eight, then back to four in '20 somethin' ain't right. In my view Satterfield is a G5 coach. 'ville can do better.
Kiffin would be a sexier hire at the time than Napier. Napier may end up being a better long term option. We would make a bigger splash if we took Kiffin from Ole Miss and we would probably have a better chance saving recruits and transfers if we brought in a guy like that. Especially on offense. QB’s and WR’s want to play in his system. He would need to bring in a slam dunk DC. The 3 coaches I’ll be watching close this year: Kiffin Napier Aranda
That says so much right there. Think about this. Kiffin. Joey Freshwater. Hired at LSU in the wake, or midst, of a Title IX investigation. I'd say tone deaf but that's blind.
Kiffin has all the off field baggage that O does if not more. Sure, his offense is great. But as others are saying, have you ever seen one of his defenses play well? Kiffin will never win a Natty. Few coaches will, but this is LSU. For the record, I see very few reasonably likely candidates worth offering. I’d throw the bank at Luke Fickell, but he’s not coming here.
Im not speaking preference here. I went on to say Napier may be a better hire long term. Kiffin would most likely be gone as fast as O due to his quirky attitude and Twitter fingers. Especially if he can’t win. Besides his burner Twitter account and a rumor he fucked Sabans daughter, what title IX stuff is there?
What about Matt Campbell at Iowa State? Seems to be doing well in a place that can't be easy to recruit to.
Absolutely but he supposedly turned down an 8 year or so deal with the lions. Safe to say he’s not going anywhere soon I don’t think. But wouldn’t mind trying.
That's something this forum, in general, didn't see coming. However, despite what he brings, this is timing, no?
I can't belive that so much brain power is being spent discussing replacements for Oeaux after one loss this season! However, if we loose any of the next 3 games, I will be joining in. Till then, he is on an extremely short leash
