Car dealerships do not give loans period. They have finance departments that help customers obtain loans through different lending institutions. Now I'm not saying this isn't legal. Especially if a local bank financed the car. The bank can pretty much do what they want in ways of approving credit, and in this case it would be about as low risk of a borrower as there is. As everyone in the bank would probably know who McFadden is and what his future looked like.
Getting involved with an agent would be a great way to get out of playing in a meaningless bowl game and risking losing millions of NFL dollars with an injury. At this point, the reality is, he doesn't owe the University of Arkansas anything. He should put the disfunctional Arkansas Razorback family in the rear view mirror of his escalade and never look back.
He may not owe the university and fans anything but I think he does owe his teammates. I think abandoning the team at this point would be disrespectful to those that practiced and played next to him for years. I hope he goes pro, but I hope these rumors are false.
I'm a little confused. Didn't Lebron James get into a similar situation with him having a hummer in his mom's name. I know he wasn't in college, but sure enough he was driving a $50,000 truck in high school. Also the day of the NFL draft ESPN was doing little bio's about the different players. They showed Jamarcus with a brand new Escalade with like 26 inch rims at his grandmas house. He wasn't drafted yet so obviously someone helped him out. Not saying that is wrong but high school and college athletes without the "resources" to afford vehicles like this bring a lot of scrutiny onto themselves. Maybe if I told the Ford dealership back in march that I was going to get drafted I could of gotten a something nicer. :geauxtige :crystal:
Jamarcus was sporting a new suit the day he announced to enter the draft...that's different...the season was over. What can they do then? He wasn't coming back. Once they are with an agent, they have $$$. Jamarcus had an agent the second he decided to go pro early.
big deal. if he had really been thinking he would have talked to adrian peterson and gotten advice on how to test drive it for free for a few months first.
You have to be kidding. Should LSU seniors headed to the NFL do the same thing? Get an agent, miss the big game, and avoid potential injury and instead protect their millions? Afterall, they don't owe anything to their school, either. Assanine. Again, you must be kidding.
