    Just reading this but as has been stated by others, most gun owners own multiple guns but most car owners own a single car...

    Before we moved to Hawaii I always had mine in the car. That's a felony out here though unless it's unloaded in a locked case and it needs to be under transport. Meaning you're bringing it somewhere in particular like going hunting. Non of this is actually enforced though. You can see locals riding around with shotguns in the window of their trucks just like any other southern rural town. But the laws are on the books so all it takes is a cop having a bad day.
