this weekend. We win. We go to play USC. We lose. We join the ranks of USC, etc. with one loss. This is it. Make no mistake.
bold words for post 2 I especially like the likening to USC. Do you think if we win out that USC will meet us in the National Championship? Even if we do lose this weekend, I'd rather lose to a ranked and highly touted Florida than the Beavers. USC doesn't even compare.
I don't think we're playing USC if we go to the NC. Right now, I think you'll be looking at SEC Champ. vs. Big 12 Champ. in the NC. We might be looking at a 2003 rematch between LSU and OU. If we lose a game, our schedule this year could very well hold us out of a chance to go as a 1 loss team.
You think maybe georgia, south carolina, alabama, ole miss and arkansas might have something to say about it.You may end up with one loss but it might not be to florida.
Big12 facing same situation SEC is facing. OU, UT, Mizzou, Kansas, Okla St and Tech, may cancel each other out this year and give the champ 2 losses. I'm not gonna say it's likely, but it's certainly not far fetched.
I'm more worried about Florida than I am Bama. Better tell Saban to start practicing against the safety rush because for the past two years the only thing John Jessica Parker Wilson has been dreaming about is Laron Landry...and believe me, CLM will bring it again without Landry. Remember Chad Jones from last year?
As early as it is, I say it's still anyone's season. Especially those ranked in the top 12. We will play 8 consecutive weeks, and 3 of those games appear to be big ones. We can lose any of those 3, and just as last yr showed: we can lose to a team that we're supposed to beat. I'll feel a lot better about our chances of reaching Atlanta (and beyond) with a win in Gainesville this weekend. But make no mistake, we're going to have to beat 'Bama if we want to win the West. I think they'll be 9-0 when we play them. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
