Yep ... I like that the meatheads at ESPN and CBS, et al., keep dissin LSU. There's just something magical about the underdog comming in and beating the favorite child. There is just something about the underdog position ... they guys play harder. They have something to prove. I can only hope that Auburn is as stupid as these guys are. "Sure ..we ain't got no offense ..and of course, Cam Newton can just run over anyone. LSU ain't got a chance." After we beat Auburn this weekend, I can hear it now. Weeeeellllll .. LSU squeaked by .. but they still have to play Bama!! Then .. after we beat Bama ...Weeeellllll they got lucky, but they still have to get past Ol Miss and Mallet Inc. Meatheads ..... our best friends, and they don't even know it. :geaux:
I got to agree. I do get a little tired of hearing all of the media bangin on the Tigers. Herbstreit seems to be the worst of the bunch. He is hell bent that LSU is going to lose to SOMEBODY, that he can't stop saying it. Every discussion I see him in he is hatin on Tiger Nation!
As long as we keep winning old Herbie can keep sayin whatever he wants. It will be he that looks like the ass in the end. Gotta say though, it is almost as if the entire ESPN crew is just waiting till we do lose, just so they can say I told you so and I was right. Which just gives me more confidence that we will keep winning.
He's just jealous he could have never played on any LSU team. Well I take it back, there is an opening for a scooper in Mike's Den.
the only time i hate that the media isn't loving us is BCS time if LSU's in the hunt. other than that, i prefer to live under the radar.
HE HATES LSU - HATES LSU - And I dont know why? I guess routing Ohio State in 2007??? Anyhow, they dont even hint or touch on us, when discussing the BCS, they go over 1-5, then go straight to Bama and into 10-25 - absolutely act like LSU is not even in there. I dont mind the NO LOVE because its just another chance to shut up the critics. Some times being the under dog is fun
Not sure being made fun of is a good thing At end of the day, it's beauty pageant. If we do lose one game, we need media love to get past other 1-loss teams. I would rather have media with me than against me.
100% Correct! Even if we pick up wins over Auburn & Alabama, a loss to Arky, and even with a win in the SECCG - I am still doubtful that a 12-1 LSU team will be heading to Glendale!
