No coach would send your Qb on the sideline into the game with 32 seconds to go without the 2nd play

what I hate is that Lee is fixing to have a great LSU moment and Les took it away from him

it was JL that made the great 4th down pass

power I and lets use #34 and put it in

we could have ran the same play back to back

    man

Just listened to JJ's post-game interview on lsusports.net. Guess what -- he said that when he came in, the coaching staff had only given him that one play. Wow. There was still, what, about 27 seconds left when that play ended. With no second play, why not line up quickly and clock it?

I don't get the QB change in the last seconds to begin with. That made absolutely no sense to me. I think all of that BS could have been avoided had they just kept Lee in and left JJ on the bench. You've already got a lineup out there... they're in the moment, and managing the time well up until they pulled Lee. Then they make it an even bigger mess by not sending JJ in prepared... I can't wait to hear what Miles says this week at lunch

Urban Meyer just owned up for the bad play call with the pump pass at the halftime interview.

Maybe Les can take notes instead of make up a bunch of bull to say he planned for the team to run out there confused in order to confuse Tennessee into having too many men on the field.

    Yeeeaaahhhh riiiiight.

There is a missing premise to your assertion: that the QB would remember what the 2nd play called was.

Not trying to be a dick...it just comes out that way sometimes.

Exactly. There is no other option for the "second play". It's not rocket surgery. Everyone is just assuming this "second play" would've worked regardless of the outcome of the first play. Doesn't work like that. The clock play is all there was to do. I just watched the replay, and confirmed what I saw in live action. Instead of getting his arse up to line up and clock it, JJ's looking to the OTHER sideline, clearly looking to see how close he was or something. GET YOUR ARSE UP, LINE UP THE TEAM, AND CLOCK IT!!!! Damn.

It was not a JJ thing!

I can't remember any staff putting in a new QB with no time outs at 32 seconds!

Yes he should have been told what to do if you don't score!

Yes JJ should know just by being a junior LSU QB to go to the center and clock it.

We ran this play on 1st down with 32 seconds - you clock it and run 34 !

LSU leads the SEC West at 3-0

    Bama kills the Gators

funny thing football. JL throws for 300 yards and we beat the Gators to be 6-0
and this will be just another hat moment! really

Man i completely agree with you on that one. He threw Lee under the bus in his post game interview with Jordy too. He said something about needing to be better and directly referenced Lee's interception. Didn't say anything about Lee's nuts to lead that team down, or convert on 4th and 14. Didn't say anything about Jefferson's ignorance or 2 picks, but is quick to throw Lee under the bus. I swear JJ is his love child with former teammate's sister.

you would have thought he may have learned something from Oxford last year. I have never seen a quarterback get dumber and play worse the more he experience he gets.
