for those of you playing the Les Miles drinking game. you better catch up. luckily for my liver, he never used "football team" once.
I thought VK was going to K-state or somewhere. Is he still available? I think I would prefer him to Chavis.
Things are going just fine. Les knows what he's going to do and he has his priorities straight. Making the rabid Tigerfans feel all warm and fuzzy comes in around #5, after . . Win the bowl game Recruit hard Find the right replacement before replacing anyone Treat fellow coaches with respect and confidentiality Did Les say "I'm not replacing any coaches." No. Can Les attract a top coordinator to LSU. Yes. Might such a coach be playing in a January bowl game or NFL playoffs? Quite possibly. Patience.
Seems like the sky has not fallen just yet... I just read Dandy Don this morning, and note the following: "As for recruiting, LSU is now ranked No. 1 by Rivals and No. 2 by ESPN." Don goes on to say that high profile programs such as LSU will often have great recruiting classes after disappointing seasons. As was discussed in an earlier thread, 2008 should be just a bump in the road, and LSU football will be back better and stronger than ever in 2009. Let's keep the faith that CLM will do what needs to be done. :geauxtige
i see no problem in making the change now but i guess it can work both ways. its not impossible to bring someone in now and have success in the bowl game, all you have to do is look back at probably the worse dc in lsu history to see its possible. lou came in after the season and lsu's defense played a really good game against notre dame and this desfense has more talent than the defense back then but who knows what will happen. i would hate to see them get blown out in this bowl because although the season hasn't really shown to hurt recruiting this bowl game possibly could after the statements miles has made about those things not happening again.
After weeks of waiting for and wanting a move to be made. It hasn't happened. Hopefully it will. But if not, it doesn't change my life any. I think Miles knows there's changes needing to be made, and I don't see him ignoring those issues, or atleast i hope not. But whatever happens will happen or not happen regardless of what I or anyone else does or say... so all I can suggest is to kick back, enjoy the recruiting we're doing, hope for a few more solid commits and then relax and enjoy LSU on the big screen one more time until Sept. I think we'll beat GT and finish the season off on a high note. I think Miles can motivate this team to show up and prepare them to play 60 minutes of smash mouth football that we're used to. I think we're going to see a different LSU team show up, with the extra preperation and time to get everyone 100%. And this game is the only one being played that night, so it's our version of a NC type game. A lot of exposure for us... we'll be ready.
1. For some reason my laptop makes the standard font really small. 2. I have used this since my earliest posts so I could read it. 3. I do not vary among several fonts and I tried to choose one that was reasonable. 4. No one else has complained. 5. I spent hours over the Thanksgiving holiday trying to decide how to draw a sarcastic reply from Bandit88 -- that effort should be appreciated.
Ken Sugiura, Atlanta Journal-Constitution: LSU may change out its co-defensive coordinators, according to the Baton Rouge Advocate. This can’t be a good thing for the Tigers in preparation for Tech, either tactically and from a morale perspective. ... I’m wondering if you’d rather face LSU in this state or get a team that’s totally focused on Tech. http://www.ajc.com/blogs/content/shared-blogs/ajc/tech/entries/2008/12/11/some_more_kudos.html
