Dumbazz Herbie must want a few interviews from Miles this year, usually he's down on us more than any other team. I hope Miles ignores his ignorance this year. It's gonna take alot more than that to get LSU fans to take him seriously.

Does anyone ever wonder if the only reason Miles stayed at LSU is because that idiot herbstreit said his sources confirmed him going to Michigan?

There is ZERO doubt that Herbstreit is the reason that Miles stayed at LSU. Everyone knows that Miles couldn't reach the key personel at Michigan when dumbazz Herbstreit's story aired.

If you've been watching Sportscenter this morning, Rich Rodriguez was shown crying during a press conference about his team. His team's morale is zero, and he KNOWS he's on the hotseat this season. He'll wish he was back in West Virginia if he's caught practicing more than his allotted NCAA time (that's what his players are allegeing). I'd be willing to bet that he's OUT of Michigan if he loses this weekend to a non BCS school. I'd hate to be him.

The only reason no, but it sure was a contributing factor that he broke the story that early. I think the big thing that turned it in our favor was Rich Rod choking away W. Virginia's shot at the National Championship. If we aren't playing for the championship, I wouldn't have been surprised to see him leave.

No Scott or Lafell...that's an oversight IMO

I didn't think about it but you think this Rich Rod thing, if it goes south, will Michigan be shooting for Miles again? I'm happy with the coaching staff at present and their Win Loss and recruiting has been amazing. Unless this season is a total disaster (knock on wood), I want the coaching staff in place for consistency sake.

It should be noted that the first two of his "Five Places Gameday Must Go" will be hosting LSU at some point this season.

Why would Les give a damn about Herbstreit? If he wanted to go to Michigan, Herbstreit did not matter. If he wanted to stay at LSU, Herbsteight did not matter.

Les knew where his bread was buttered and he did what he wanted to do. The right thing, as it turned out. Herbstreit made a fool of himself running with a rumor that came neither from Michigan nor Les. I can't imagine a circumstance where Les would allow a reporter's remark to alter his career plans.

i don't know maybe because he is stubborn. Maybe because he wanted to prove herbstreit wrong. You cant see Miles doing that? You don't see him being stubborn, and wanting to prove people wrong. Jesus, thats exactly what i see him doing. I think the talks were there, he hadn't made up his mind fully yet, herbie broke the news that he was going, and he said, aww hell naw, not now im not.

Nope. If Les wanted to go to Michigan, Herbie would have just been the first reporter to break the story, even if he was guessing.

If Les wanted to stay at LSU, he would have made a fool out of Herbstriet instantly, which he did.
