We know Florida schools are the exception, not the rule. But seriously, you post that picture to mean we already do except WE do not want to be included. How would you like it if he were a trojan? Dude would not have survived the wrath of miles and really, because of him FSU lost even more credibility by trying to keep him relevant. Do we really want these kids around?
Que? I posted it because it seemed to fit and it makes me laugh. I have survived the Mark "Dirty Sanchez" commentary and the Reggie cheater Bush era....thick skin I suppose. I'm not sure I believe they are the exception although they do seem to have a lot of issues. Perhaps other schools haven't been caught yet, IDK. College football isn't what it used to be. Kids like Winston will continue to be around I think. And I certainly didn't intend to imply any type of "we" inclusivity or that LSU was somehow similar. Apologies if it came across that way.
I get that and I did not mean to put you on the spot. My point is as fans of college football, most of us bigger fans than the pro leagues prefer the innocence that is supposed to be part of the game. What is outweighs what we want but extending the playoffs with more teams will only take what little is left of that innocence and propel the game into college sponsored minor leagues for the pro's. That is something I want no part of.
well played. any league with a playoff doesnt reward the best reg season team. they award the team as champion who was the hottest in the post-season. makes for good drama and tv ratings. winston is more the rule than the exception. players get free passes in just about everything on campus and everywhere else. as long as they can play on saturday. most play football to get to the nfl. most wont make it. most wont have an education afterwards. The NCAA generates over 11 billion annually in college sports. thats more than the total league revenue of both the NBA and NHL. yeah, the purity of college sports was sold long ago. and the players see almost none of it in return.
