For the life of me I just cannot fathom why any of the people on the committee would give a rats ass about the tv ratings or the amount of fans traveling to the games. You think they care how much money ESPN makes or how many hotel rooms get filled in New Orleans or Dallas?
committee members and fans alike are influenced by the media (ESPN) telling them what to think. i think that plays into it more than each individual sitting down saying who gets better ratings when submitting a ballot. with that said, OSU is going to lose and maybe FSU. it will be bama against fsu or oregon. FSU knows how to win and they cant be written off. Ohio St is going to lose by double digits as reality sets in that they shouldnt be there. but i dont think bama is a lock to win regardless who they match up against in the title game.
I think OSU will make it interesting....before they lose. That first time QB of theirs slung it good against them weak badger DB's. I assume he will have the luck against bama. That is if he don't shit himself when that pocket crashes down on him. FSU is gonna slow the ducks with their ever growing success with the injury time out. This is hands down the toughest game they will have played this season and the way their D struggled with the option last night, well that was just practice for the dancing leprechaun. Should be a fun game to watch, but I got ducks and gumps in dallas.
I agree about tOSU n UA but think the Ducks will make fois gras out of the Noles. To mix metaphors a little more they will run through FSU like shit through a goose.
I have read Killing Lincoln and Killing Kennedy. I put the Patton book on my wish list. At a New Year's Party last/this year, I met Martin Dugard, his co-author. Great conversation....he is so understated.
Name dropper. I kid. I kid. This will be the first in the series I've read. May not get around to it until after the first of the year.
Nope, why should they? And anyway that money & the money everyone else gets is already set in stone. Only ESPN and the local businesses & organizations benefit by the match ups.
