I believe this deserves it's own thread. I'm not stirring the pot. If we have to play bama again, fine. Bring it. This is just an example of how much of a two-face liar the almighty Nick Saban is. read under 'set up' [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Sugar_Bowl[/ame]
Yeah that's what I'm hearing. Talk about justice. Dude hates media and the media could do him in. :hihi:
Well I don't know if it's a hoax or not but it's spreading fast. It's starting to hit facebook. I apologize in advance for posting it if it turns out to be a rumor. but it doesn't change my opinion of him.
I hope this hits ESPN/CBS and they ask him this question in an interview or something. I would love to see his reaction and see him weasel out of that like he does everything else.
If you look at the revision history, you will see the quote was added just a few hours ago (and has since been removed).
Well, now the quote on wikipedia is back up, and it has a citation with it. Burwell, Bryan (2003-12-08), Saban Ready for Oklahoma, St. Louis Daily Dispatch The St. Louis Daily Dispatch is a Fire Fighter newspaper. Doesn't seem likely to contain this article. Perhaps the quoter meant the St. Louis Post-Dispatch? In its archives a search for all articles involving "Saban" in 2003 brings up a single article published on 12/8/2003 (and none on 8/12/2003 just in case). The article in question is "SOONERS WIN AFTER LOSING BIG", by Josh Dubow. He's an AP writer, so I've also found the article listed as "Oklahoma will play LSU in the Sugar Bowl" Neither of which I seem to be able to access in full text, and it's getting late and such. It is a relevant article. I suppose it COULD contain the quote, but you have to make several assumptions involving errors on the part of the wikipedia author to even get to this point. There is a Bryan Burwell, and he is a writer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. You can't search his column directly before 2010, but you can run a search for Bryan+Burwell and get a list of the articles he's written - there are none on 12/8/2003. This is all a crock of BS. Certainly the wikipedia article. Probably the whole quote. Lets see how quickly he gracefully bows out of the NC game one behalf of his team and the university. LMAO Come on Bama give up that money and gracefully bow out on principle. LMAO Above all else you MUST support the beliefs of your coach, the man y'all think is the GOD of college football.
